Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined members of his team at the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management’s third and final Adopt-a-Tree event of 2026, supporting an initiative that provides residents with an opportunity to help beautify their neighborhoods and contribute to a greener Miami-Dade.
Throughout the year, Adopt-a-Tree events have brought residents together around a simple but lasting investment in their communities. Trees planted today can provide shade, improve air quality, enhance neighborhoods, and create benefits that will be enjoyed by families for years to come.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I am proud that members of our team continue showing up beyond the walls of our offices to serve the community,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Planting and caring for our neighborhoods may seem like a small action, but the impact lasts for years. Every tree planted today represents an investment in the community our children and future generations will inherit.”
Fernandez also recognized the Tax Collector employees who participated in the event and assisted residents, highlighting their continued willingness to take part in community initiatives throughout Miami-Dade. He noted that public service is about more than completing transactions. It is also about being present, supporting worthwhile efforts, and contributing to the communities the office serves.
Fernandez thanked the entire DERM team for organizing the 2026 Adopt-a-Tree events and for its continued work throughout Miami-Dade County. He also thanked the residents, volunteers, and members of the Tax Collector’s Office who participated in the final event and helped make the initiative a success.
