Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez brought Cafecito Connection to McDonald’s in North Miami-Dade, continuing his commitment to meeting residents in familiar community spaces and creating opportunities for direct conversations about the services available through the Tax Collector’s Office.
The event gave residents an opportunity to sit down with Fernandez, ask questions, share concerns, and learn more about services including driver licenses, identification cards, vehicle registrations, property taxes, and other responsibilities of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office. By bringing these conversations outside traditional government offices, Cafecito Connection helps make public service more personal and accessible.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe residents should not always have to come to government. Sometimes government needs to come to them,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Cafecito Connection allows us to sit down with the people we serve, listen to what they need, answer their questions, and make sure they know how our office can help. Expanding these conversations into North Miami-Dade is another way we are bringing our services closer to every community.”
Fernandez highlighted the office’s broader efforts to expand its presence throughout Miami-Dade through TConnect, community outreach, extended service options, and initiatives that provide residents with more convenient ways to interact directly with the Tax Collector’s Office. He emphasized that staying connected with residents helps the office better understand where services can be improved and where additional outreach is needed.
Fernandez thanked E.C. Management Corporation, the McDonald’s team, and everyone who stopped by for a cafecito and conversation. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing Cafecito Connection events throughout Miami-Dade County and bringing government closer to the people the office serves.
