Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez participated in the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce of Florida’s Business and Networking Luncheon at Milly’s Restaurant, where he met with business owners, community leaders, and residents for a conversation focused on property taxes, local business challenges, and opportunities to improve public service.
The luncheon provided an opportunity to hear directly from members of the business community about the issues affecting them and the residents they serve. Discussions included the impact of property taxes, the pressures facing small businesses, and the importance of maintaining open communication between government and entrepreneurs throughout Miami-Dade County.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe public service means being present in the community, sitting at the table, answering questions, and hearing directly from the people we serve,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Conversations like these help us better understand the challenges residents and businesses are facing and give us an opportunity to identify ways we can continue improving the service we provide.”
Fernandez also highlighted the important role local chambers of commerce play in connecting businesses with resources, information, and opportunities. He emphasized that supporting entrepreneurs and maintaining a strong local economy requires continued dialogue between government and the people who invest, create jobs, and build businesses in Miami-Dade.
Fernandez thanked the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce of Florida for the invitation and for its continued support of the business community. He reaffirmed his commitment to remaining accessible, engaged, and connected with residents and business owners throughout Miami-Dade County.
