Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez met with City of Homestead Mayor Steven D. Losner as part of the Tax Collector’s continued outreach to municipalities across Miami-Dade County. Losner currently serves as Homestead’s mayor for the 2023–2027 term. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss local priorities, exchange ideas, and identify ways the Tax Collector’s Office and the City can continue working together to better serve Homestead residents.
Fernandez emphasized that direct conversations with municipal leaders are an important part of understanding the different needs of communities throughout Miami-Dade. Maintaining open communication allows the Tax Collector’s Office to hear directly from local officials, share information about available services, and explore opportunities to make those services more convenient for residents.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe the best way to serve our communities is to stay connected with the people who know them best,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Meeting with Mayor Losner gave us an opportunity to listen, exchange ideas, and discuss practical ways we can continue improving the service we provide to Homestead residents.”
The meeting is part of Fernandez’s broader effort to maintain relationships with municipalities throughout the county and ensure communities have a direct line of communication with the Tax Collector’s Office. Through initiatives such as community outreach and the TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office, the office continues looking for additional ways to bring services closer to residents.
Fernandez thanked Mayor Losner for his time, ideas, and commitment to the Homestead community. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing these conversations with municipal leaders across Miami-Dade County and finding practical ways to make public service more efficient, convenient, and responsive.
