Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez was honored with the Community Leadership Award from the Supreme Twins Foundation during a special evening recognizing individuals whose leadership and service have made a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Fernandez attended the event with his wife, Carolina, and joined families, community leaders, and supporters of the Foundation in celebrating its mission.
The Supreme Twins Foundation provides support and encouragement to families raising children with special needs, helping ensure they have access to resources, assistance, and a community that understands the challenges they may face. Fernandez emphasized that hearing directly from these families is an important reminder that many of the struggles people experience are not always visible and that compassionate community organizations can make a lasting difference.
“Receiving this recognition is deeply meaningful, but it also belongs to the people who stand beside me every day in service to Miami-Dade County,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “The Supreme Twins Foundation reminds us that leadership is not simply about holding a position. It is about being present, helping people through difficult moments, and making sure families know their community is standing with them.”
Fernandez dedicated the recognition to the employees of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office, thanking them for their professionalism, compassion, and commitment to putting people first. He noted that the office’s ability to serve residents every day is made possible by a team that understands the importance of treating every person with respect and care.
Fernandez thanked the Supreme Twins Foundation for the recognition and for its continued work on behalf of families throughout South Florida. He also expressed his appreciation for being honored alongside Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega and Don Francisco, recognizing an evening dedicated to leadership, service, and community.
