Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez attended the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Miccosukee Police Department, joining members of the Miccosukee community, law enforcement professionals, and guests in recognizing five decades of service, dedication, and commitment to public safety.
For 50 years, the men and women of the Miccosukee Police Department have served with professionalism and a strong sense of duty, protecting their community while building a legacy of service that continues today. The anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on the department’s history and to recognize those, past and present, who have contributed to its mission.
“Fifty years of service represents generations of men and women who have answered the call to protect their community,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “That kind of commitment deserves our respect and appreciation. I was honored to be there to recognize this important milestone and thank those who have dedicated their careers to keeping others safe.”
Fernandez emphasized the important role law enforcement plays in maintaining strong and secure communities and recognized the commitment required to serve the public every day. He also noted that milestones such as this provide an opportunity to thank those whose work often takes place quietly, but whose impact is felt across the community.
Fernandez congratulated the Miccosukee Police Department on its 50th Anniversary and thanked its current and former officers, leadership, and staff for their continued service and dedication.
