Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez participated in the Career & Educational Expo Open House at the Coral Gables Adult & Continuing Education Center, an event focused on connecting students and residents with educational opportunities, career pathways, and resources that can help them build a stronger future.
The event highlighted the important role adult and continuing education plays in helping individuals strengthen their skills, pursue new careers, and create greater opportunities for themselves and their families. Fernandez emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful tools for personal advancement and for building a stronger workforce throughout Miami-Dade County.
“Education creates opportunity, and opportunity strengthens our entire community,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Programs like these give people the tools to improve their lives, prepare for new careers, and pursue their goals. Supporting education means supporting the future of our families, our workforce, and Miami-Dade County.”
The Tax Collector’s Office also brought its TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office to the event, providing attendees with direct access to essential services and information. Through TConnect, residents were able to connect with staff and learn more about services including driver licenses, identification cards, vehicle registrations, and other Tax Collector services without having to travel to a traditional office location.
Fernandez thanked the Coral Gables Adult & Continuing Education Center, its educators, staff, and everyone involved in organizing the Career & Educational Expo Open House. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational opportunities while continuing to bring Tax Collector services directly into the communities the office serves.
