The Office of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector participated in the Back to School Fair at Miami Dade College’s Hialeah Campus, in collaboration with Univision Contigo and hosted by Javier Romero. The event brought families together as students across Miami-Dade prepared to return to the classroom, providing an opportunity to connect residents with resources, information, and services in one convenient location.
The Tax Collector’s Office was on site with its TConnect mobile office and an informational table, giving families direct access to staff who could answer questions and provide assistance with services including driver license and identification card renewals, vehicle registrations, and other Tax Collector services. The event is part of the office’s continued effort to bring services closer to residents and make it easier for families to access the assistance they need.
“Back to school is an exciting time for our students, but we also know how busy these weeks can be for parents and families,” said Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “By bringing TConnect and our team directly into the community, we can help residents access important services while they are already attending events like this with their families. Government works best when we make it easier for people to connect with the services they depend on.”
Under Fernandez’s leadership, the Tax Collector’s Office has continued expanding its community presence through TConnect and outreach events throughout Miami-Dade County. These initiatives complement the services available at Tax Collector locations by creating additional opportunities for residents to speak directly with staff, receive information, and better understand the services available to them.
The Office of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector thanked Miami Dade College, Univision Contigo, Javier Romero, participating organizations, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the Back to School Fair possible. Fernandez also wished students, parents, teachers, and school employees throughout Miami-Dade County a successful new school year.
