If your vehicle title is currently issued in paper format and has been lost, stolen, or damaged, you may apply for a duplicate title. Requests may be submitted by mail or in person at a Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector or an authorized private tag agency.

If the original paper title is found after a duplicate title has been issued, the original title is no longer valid. It should be destroyed or returned to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).
