The Office of the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector participated in a Back to School event at Midway Crossings Mall, presented by Madrinas Insurance, joining families and community organizations as students across Miami-Dade County prepared to return to the classroom for a new school year.
The event brought families together for an afternoon focused on students and the excitement of a new academic year. The Tax Collector’s Office was proud to be part of the celebration and connect with parents, children, and residents while supporting an event designed to help local families start the school year prepared and informed.
As part of the event, the Tax Collector’s Office brought its TConnect mobile office and hosted an informational table where staff connected residents with information about services including driver licenses and identification cards, vehicle registrations, and other Tax Collector services. The participation also provided families with an opportunity to speak directly with staff, ask questions, and learn more about the resources available through the office.
“Back to school is an exciting time for our children and families, and we are proud to be present at events that bring our community together and help students begin the year on the right foot,” said Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Our responsibility is not only to provide excellent service inside our offices, but also to be present in the neighborhoods and communities we serve. I want every family in Miami-Dade County to know that their Tax Collector’s Office is accessible, engaged, and ready to serve them.”
Fernandez thanked Madrinas Insurance, Midway Crossings Mall, the participating organizations, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the Back to School event possible. He also wished students, parents, teachers, and school employees throughout Miami-Dade County a safe, successful, and productive school year.
