Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez met with City of West Miami Mayor Eric Diaz-Padron to discuss opportunities for continued collaboration and new ways to better serve residents. The conversation focused on strengthening communication between the City and the Tax Collector’s Office while identifying practical ways to make government services more accessible and convenient.
Fernandez emphasized that maintaining close relationships with municipal leaders allows the Tax Collector’s Office to better understand the individual needs of communities throughout Miami-Dade County. Direct conversations with local officials help identify opportunities for outreach, improve communication with residents, and ensure the office remains responsive to the people it serves.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe some of the best ideas begin by sitting down together and having a conversation about what our residents need,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Mayor Diaz-Padron understands West Miami and the people he represents, and working directly with local leaders helps us find practical ways to improve service and bring government closer to the community.”
Fernandez also discussed the office’s continued efforts to expand its presence throughout Miami-Dade through community outreach, the TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office, and additional service options. He noted that each municipality has its own priorities and that strong communication helps ensure those efforts reach residents where they can have the greatest impact.
Fernandez thanked Mayor Eric Diaz-Padron and the City of West Miami for the productive conversation and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining an open dialogue with municipalities throughout Miami-Dade County while continuing to improve the way residents access Tax Collector services.
