Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, joined by Deputy Tax Collector Jerry Gomez, met with City of Aventura Mayor Howard Weinberg to discuss collaboration, expanded access to services, and new initiatives to better serve residents.

The meeting focused on strengthening communication between the Tax Collector’s Office and municipal leaders while identifying ways to make government services more accessible and responsive to each community’s needs.

“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe strong relationships with our cities are essential to providing better public service,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Every municipality has different needs, and conversations like this help us identify practical ways to improve access, strengthen communication, and make government work better for the people we serve.”

Fernandez also highlighted the office’s continued efforts to expand its presence through community outreach, TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office services, and partnerships with local governments.

Fernandez thanked Mayor Howard Weinberg and the City of Aventura for the productive conversation and expressed his interest in continuing the partnership and identifying additional opportunities to bring efficient, accessible Tax Collector services to the Aventura community.
