Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez met with Village of Palmetto Bay Mayor Karyn Cunningham and Village Manager Nick Marano to discuss new initiatives, available services, and opportunities for continued collaboration on behalf of local residents.
The conversation focused on the importance of maintaining direct communication between the Tax Collector’s Office and municipalities throughout Miami-Dade County. By working closely with local leaders, the office can better understand the needs of each community, identify opportunities to expand access to services, and explore practical ways to make government more convenient and responsive.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe strong local government begins with communication and collaboration,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Meeting directly with Mayor Cunningham and Village Manager Marano gives us the opportunity to discuss what residents need, share ideas, and find better ways to connect people with the services our office provides.”
Fernandez also highlighted the office’s continued efforts to expand access through community outreach, the TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office, and additional service options designed to bring government closer to residents. He emphasized that each municipality has different needs, making local conversations an important part of improving service across the county.
Fernandez thanked Mayor Karyn Cunningham, Village Manager Nick Marano, and the Village of Palmetto Bay for the productive meeting and their commitment to serving the community. He reaffirmed his intention to continue working with municipalities throughout Miami-Dade County to deliver efficient, accessible, and dependable public service.
