Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez attended the Grand Opening of By Brothers Farm, celebrating an important milestone for a family-owned business built through hard work, perseverance, and entrepreneurship. During the event, Fernandez presented an Honorary Citation to founders Nelson Guzman and Victor Guzman in recognition of their accomplishments and continued contribution to the Miami-Dade community.
The story of By Brothers Farm reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that has helped shape South Florida. Nelson and Victor’s journey from Cuba to building a successful family business in Miami-Dade represents the sacrifices made by countless families who came to the United States in search of freedom and opportunity and, through determination and hard work, created something for future generations.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe small businesses are the backbone of our economy and an essential part of the American Dream,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Nelson and Victor’s story is a powerful reminder of what is possible in this country when people have the freedom to work, build, and pursue their dreams. Their success creates opportunities not only for their family, but for employees, customers, and the community around them.”
Fernandez emphasized the important role entrepreneurs play throughout Miami-Dade County by creating jobs, investing in local communities, and contributing to economic growth. He reaffirmed the Tax Collector’s commitment to providing businesses with efficient service and helping entrepreneurs understand and navigate the requirements necessary to operate successfully in the county.
Fernandez congratulated Nelson Guzman, Victor Guzman, their families, and the entire By Brothers Farm team on the Grand Opening and wished them continued success as they begin this new chapter.
