Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez met with Village of Key Biscayne Mayor Joe Rasco to discuss Tax Collector services, community priorities, and opportunities for continued collaboration on behalf of local residents. Rasco serves as Mayor of the Village of Key Biscayne.
The meeting focused on maintaining direct communication between the Tax Collector’s Office and municipal government while identifying practical ways to make services more convenient and accessible. Fernandez emphasized that conversations with local leaders provide valuable insight into the specific needs of each community and help the office determine where additional outreach and service opportunities may be beneficial.
“As your Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, I believe good government starts with communication and a willingness to work together,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Sitting down with Mayor Rasco gives us an opportunity to hear directly about the priorities of Key Biscayne residents and discuss practical ways our office can continue improving how we serve the community.”
Fernandez also highlighted the office’s continued efforts to bring government closer to residents through the TConnect Mobile Tax Collector Office, community outreach, and expanded service options throughout Miami-Dade County. Working directly with municipalities allows the office to identify opportunities to connect residents with information and assistance closer to where they live.
Fernandez thanked Mayor Joe Rasco and the Village of Key Biscayne for the productive conversation and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining strong communication with municipalities throughout Miami-Dade County and continuing to find better ways to serve residents.
