Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school. Five years of experience practicing law to include the areas of civil practice and governmental experience with state, county and/or municipal governments or agencies are required. Must be a current Florida licensed attorney in good standing. Preference: Experience with contracts, real state, and property taxes is preferred. Extensive experience with Florida trial court rules and procedures and, proficiency in one or more legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Fast case, or related platforms) is highly preferred.
Recruitment Notes: This position will support the fast‑paced demands of our transition to an independent constitutional office. In addition to the minimum requirements, the ideal applicants will bring at least 3 years of legislative or legal research and analysis experience, expertise in government law, real estate, litigation, procurement contracts, leases, and knowledge of property taxes and bankruptcy law. Experience in management, supervision, or legal matters related to motor vehicles and driver licensing is a plus.
