Check the status of your registration renewal and learn what to do if your license plate or decal has not been received.

You can check the status of your registration renewal online through the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).

If it has been 7 to 10 business days since you renewed your license plate or registration decal and you have not received it by mail, you may request a replacement by providing the following:

• Application for Replacement (Form HSMV 83146)
• A copy of a valid government-issued photo identification.

If more than 180 calendar days have passed since the registration was issued, applicable replacement fees will be required.

You may submit your replacement request using any of the following methods:

• Visit a Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector or an authorized private auto tag agency (additional service fees may apply).
• Email us at support@mdctaxcollector.gov .
